Noir Fashion Week Returns to Nairobi in August to Decode "The African Code"
Noir Fashion Week will return to Nairobi from August 6-9, 2026 as part of its expanded global tour across Paris, New York, and South Africa. This year's theme — "The African Code" — is a strategic exploration of the invisible architecture, textiles, rituals, and material intelligence that define African sophistication.
The 2026 venue will be set against Tigoni's rolling tea estates and historic colonial homes, offering what organizers describe as "a rare blend of serenity and sophistication — a backdrop that mirrors Noir's vision of heritage-rooted luxury."
Beyond the Runway
Noir Fashion Week operates as both a cultural platform and an economic engine, connecting designers, artisans, and cultural producers across markets. Its mission: to reposition Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) creatives as primary stakeholders within the international luxury economy.
The event will include runway presentations, panel discussions on intellectual property in fashion, artisan workshops, and buyer meetings.
"We're not imitating Western luxury," said Noir's founder. "We're defining African luxury on our own terms."
