Qualcomm Selects 10 African Startups for Its 2026 Make in Africa Programme
Qualcomm has announced the 10 early-stage African startups selected for its flagship 2026 Make in Africa programme, chosen from a record 1,200 applications across 45 countries.
Now in its fourth cohort, the equity-free mentorship programme showcases Africa's growing deep-tech capabilities. The selected startups will receive seven months of technical mentorship, engineering support, and cloud credits, plus a $5,000 stipend upon completion.

- Anatsor (Nigeria): Digital poultry management system tracking productivity and animal health
- D-Olivette Labs (Nigeria): AI-powered agricultural solutions
- Sesi Technologies (Ghana): Post-harvest loss reduction technology
- Zerobionic (Kenya): Affordable prosthetic limbs using 3D printing
- TWave (Uganda): IoT-based water quality monitoring
- Amperra (Namibia): Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
- Safe Sip (Tanzania): Water purification technology
- QualiKeeper (Zambia): Food quality assurance platform
- Mindora Corporation (Zimbabwe): Mental health technology
- MVUTU/Green Box (Republic of Congo): Sustainable packaging solutions
The startups target agriculture, smart cities, assistive technology, and sustainable transport. At the programme's finale, one startup will receive a Social Impact Fund grant from Qualcomm for Good.
