Qualcomm Selects 10 African Startups for Its 2026 Make in Africa Programme

Qualcomm has announced the 10 early-stage African startups selected for its flagship 2026 Make in Africa programme, chosen from a record 1,200 applications across 45 countries.

Now in its fourth cohort, the equity-free mentorship programme showcases Africa's growing deep-tech capabilities. The selected startups will receive seven months of technical mentorship, engineering support, and cloud credits, plus a $5,000 stipend upon completion.

The 2026 Cohort

  • Anatsor (Nigeria): Digital poultry management system tracking productivity and animal health
  • D-Olivette Labs (Nigeria): AI-powered agricultural solutions
  • Sesi Technologies (Ghana): Post-harvest loss reduction technology
  • Zerobionic (Kenya): Affordable prosthetic limbs using 3D printing
  • TWave (Uganda): IoT-based water quality monitoring
  • Amperra (Namibia): Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
  • Safe Sip (Tanzania): Water purification technology
  • QualiKeeper (Zambia): Food quality assurance platform
  • Mindora Corporation (Zimbabwe): Mental health technology
  • MVUTU/Green Box (Republic of Congo): Sustainable packaging solutions

The startups target agriculture, smart cities, assistive technology, and sustainable transport. At the programme's finale, one startup will receive a Social Impact Fund grant from Qualcomm for Good.
